Before starting any of our recommended exercise routines, your Lindenhurst chiropractors will meet with you for a consultation. It’s important that we get a clear picture of your physical wellbeing. That’s why you’ll partake in a physical evaluation. Certain activities aggravate any medical conditions you may have. That’s why your exercise program is personally customized to your needs. We carefully monitor your routine to guarantee you meet your workout goals. Recommended exercises are chosen from subgroupings like endurance, flexibility, functional movement, balance, and strengthening.
There are a vast array of exercises to choose from:
-Spinal Rotation: Sitting down, reach one arm across your stomach, grabbing the opposite side of the chair. Look back over your shoulder while rotating your lower and mid back. Hold for fifteen to thirty seconds.
-Lower Back Extensions: Lay flat on your stomach. Place both hands by your sides. Raise your head and body off the ground using only your lower back muscles. Do this for four to five seconds. Repeat ten to fifteen times.
-Neck Stretches: Bring your ear towards your shoulder. Hold this for five to seven seconds. Move your ear towards the opposite shoulder, stretching the muscle.
Neck stretching should only be done by the recommendation of your chiropractor. Stop immediately when experiencing dizziness or lightheadedness.
